‘Nightime, the wickerman burns, fireflies abound – tribal sound emancipation. Below there’s Hackney in pink – river-shroud, rave-rotted incarnation…’
In 2011, Sid Bose spotted a piece of graffiti that said ‘London’s perverted children.’ This note inspired him to collect strange and intriguing evidence of the eclectic dynamism of Hackney.
Now he’s woven these tales into a visceral musical performance that brings to light the night-time tales of a London borough.
London’s Perverted Children features live music composed, performed and improvised by Zoltan Nagy (electronics) and Tobias Hug aka “the Black Forest Ghetto” (vocals, beatbox)
Siddhartha Bose is a poet, playwright and performer living in Hackney Wick. London’s Perverted Children is a follow-up to his acclaimed one-man play Kalagora.
