Wu Style Tai Chi 10-week beginners course.
Every Monday, 7pm – 8pm
Tai Chi is known as a soft or passive martial art. Unlike karate or judo where there is physical contact Tai Chi tends to be practised individually.
Commonly known as ‘moving meditation’ its acknowledged benefits include, stress management, increased circulation and mobility, flexibility and strength. It also helps to boost the immune system and creates a sense of focus and calm. During the one-hour session on, Monday Evenings you will work through four stretching and warm-up exercises.
Following this you will start to learn the Chu’an-the 108 connecting movements that make up ‘The Form’
I was surprised how much we were able to learn in the 10 week course and took home practical tools to help with a busy London life. The breathing, focus, and rhythmic nature of the movements was a lovely way to create calm for the start of the week and I look forward to continuing the practice.
