Remember what it was like to chat with a stranger? Spending time swapping thoughts and stories with someone you didn’t know?
Here’s your chance for you to reconnect with your local community, smell that spring air and rediscover your neighbourhood. Covering Ground will arm you with a map, a stack of questions, a disposable camera and introduce you to someone you’ve never met before (but might have unknowingly crossed paths with).
On your journey through the area, you’ll get to know each other, share stories about your neighbourhood and take some photos along the way, before ending the walk at The Yard Theatre, for a cuppa on our theatre stage.
All participants will also receive a tasty free meal from The Yard Theatre’s kitchen resident, Taheena, who serves up an array of delicious vegan and vegetarian North African delights.

This project requires you to take a 25 minute journey. If you are unable to take part in person, there is also the option to participate via a video call.
We have also ensured that during the journey there are a number of spots where you and your partner will be able to take a break.
If you have any other questions relating to access needs, and support we may be able to offer (e.g. a BSL interpreter), please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or 07523298482.
