GGI 끼 is a club night and rave, showcasing the talent of queer, trans and nonbinary ESEA artists making waves in electronic music, from London and beyond. GGI is a space celebrating ESEA queer culture, away from a fetishising gaze, and a space where queer ESEA excellence can thrive.
Expect to hear ambient experimental, dnb, footwork, deconstructed club, house, industrial techno, Taiwanese drill, gabber, speedcore.
Electronic musician, producer and sound artist Yeong Die (she/her) is a central figure of Seoul’s burgeoning music scene, characterized by a fresh and irreverent approach to the world of experimental music. This is reflected in the collaborations with Yetsuby and Uman Therma (two other key actresses in this scene) for the Computer Music Club series as well as in her solo works.
bela (they/them) is a musician/DJ who plays experimental electronic music on its hardcore extremities. Their frequent speed shifts and the unapologetic blend of gabber and queer anthems are all aimed to create momentum for sonic liberation through dancing. bela’s 2022 live tour with okkyung lee and Yeong Die includes shows in Rewire Festival, Cafe OTO, the white hotel, A4 Bratislava, and more. bela played as a DJ at clubs in Seoul, Tokyo, and Shanghai. bela is a co-runner of Sorrow Club*: a mixed event series in Seoul.
Ms.G (she/they) is a London based DJ and producer; playing regularly across Londons LGBTQI+ clubs and parties, including Savage Disco, Feel it, The Glory and Dalston Superstore. Well equipped with a collection and thirst for rare disco, to an obsession for acid house, trance and dark techno their sets take you on a journey whatever state you’re in.
Having been exposed to Taiwan’s underground scene since the age of 15, Chiyu (he/they) is a DJ, producer, and promoter now based in London. Upon his recent arrival to the city, he has already made appearances at shows such as Gutterring, Riposte, and Brixton radio. Mixing cross-genre being his specialty, nothing is out of bounds for Chiyu- Meaning you can expect anything from the sounds of Taiwan’s experimental club scene to Britney Spears during his sets.
ASJ (she/her) is a Hong Kong based electronic music producer and DJ. ASJ refers to ‘A Spiritual Journey’, ASJ first started out DJing and producing in Taiwan completing her studies. The core of ASJ’s work is a concept of the mind, a depiction of the higher force beyond the physical which constantly changes one’s thought, emotions and perceptions. ASJ went on her first European tour together with label Absurd Trax and performed in the likes of Berghain Saule (Berlin) for CTM Festival2020, Razzmatazz (Barcelona), QuaI De Bourbon (Paris). She also has performed in Hong Kong major music festivals like Sonar festival and Clockenflap back in 2017 & 2018. During lockdown, she was invited by Meuko Meuko to performed virtually on an online MMO game AFTERLIFE (網路來⽣) at Unsound Festival. Her debut album “集體模像 DUPLICATE COGNIZANCE” was the latest released via Absurd Trax. It is ASJ’s third major work after her first digital LP “The Road to Become One” released on Absurd Trax in 2018 June and digital EP “The Illusion Of Separation” released on DECISIONS in 2020 June,Her music has received plays on NTS Radio, Radar Radio, etc. Also, she has guest mixes on radio stations like NTS radio, Boiler Room’s Hard Dance series, Balamii Radio, Jerome Mixfile, Internet Public Radio.

WHO CAN ATTEND
Everyone is welcome, with the understanding that this is a space that centres and celebrates queer and trans ESEA identities. We would ask for consideration from white allies – this is a space for ESEA community members and their guests. If invited by friends or partners please pay full price and be aware of the community being centred at the event.
The Yard has level access and is fully wheelchair accessible. There is an accessible toilet with a wide, outward facing door. There will be strobe lighting and a smoke machine in use throughout the night.
Tickets will be on a sliding scale. Discounted tickets will be available for trans BPoC (Black trans people and trans people of colour). A limited amount of tickets will be available on the door at full price.
