MISERY PRESENTS:
STILL HERE ~ SUMMER FAYRE
SUNDAY 21st AUGUST 2022 – THE YARD – 4-10PM
It’s late summer 2022. We are living through a QTIBPOC mental health crisis, a global extinction event and a pandemic… and yet we’re still here. Still living, still loving, still anxiously nibbling that delicious piece of flesh on our left thumb. If you’re as confused by your continued survival as we are, come and process – I mean CELEBRATE – with us!
On Sunday August 21st, join misery for another of our dreamy sober summer fayres, curated with as much care as it’s reasonably possible to pack into an event under capitalism. As usual, you’ll find workshops, arts & crafts activities, herbal balm-making, nice body stuff, food, a full non-alcoholic bar, tarot, tattoos, and other body adornments. We will have a therapist on site, ready to answer any questions you may have about where and how to access support. And soundtracking all of this will be the brilliant resident misery djs ready to remind you that it’s your party and you can cry if you want to!!
This is our first party since 2020 & spirits are gonna be high, even if no-one else is. Come stand proud that we are still here, mourn those who are not, dream about what’s next.

*ALL AGES*
The Yard is fully wheelchair accessible.
Tickets, as always, are pay what you can, on a sliding scale from 0-20. Please do pay what you can. No-one will be turned away for lack of funds.
Everyone is welcome at this event though non-QTIBPOC are encouraged to pay higher on the sliding scale and be mindful of how they take up space.
misery events are sober. We understand that this can mean different things to different people. For us this currently means no alcohol or drugs should be consumed or present at our events. If you have any questions or concerns about this please reach out to us.
We are an open space working to confront the stigma and isolation of people living with addiction. We do not police or judge anyone’s relationship to substances or what you do before or after the event. Everyone is welcome, whatever your relationship to substance use and sobriety.
misery is a mental health community and sober rave based in london and led by and for queer, trans, intersex, black people and people of colour (qtibpoc) with lived experience of madness, mental health challenges, time in hospital, addiction, public service use, disability, trauma, medication and neurodivergence.
we co-create free, playful, accessible sober spaces, services, practices, parties and resources to cultivate communities of care that can support and sustain the collective healing and resilience of qtibpoc world over.
misery is a reminder that you’re not too sensitive, it’s mad out here.
