We’re relieved and grateful to say that The Yard Theatre has received funding from the Culture Recovery Fund.
The funding, delivered by Arts Council England on behalf of the Department of Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, is part of the government £1.57 billion recovery package for UK culture and heritage to ensure we can keep doing what we do.
For six months, this funding will support our survival, but we will also build new opportunities for extraordinary freelance artists and creatives who make extraordinary theatre, welcome audiences safely back into our theatre, continue our Yard Young Artists programme and support local residents through our two community centres.
We recognise that this is still a challenging time for cultural organisations and freelance artists and creatives in the midst of all the good news. We will continue to play our part in working with these brilliant communities so that they will not only remain, but thrive within our industry.
We can’t wait to share all our plans with you over the coming months and we’re genuinely thrilled to be one step closer to welcoming you back into The Yard again.
