The Yard combines entrepreneurial spirit with artistic vision, making it “a beacon of exciting, progressive new work in theatre-poor east London and a real model for what a theatre can and should be in the twenty-first century” (Time Out). You can be part of this vision.

As a trust or foundation that cares deeply about cultural and social philanthropy, you could make a huge, creative impact on theatre and participatory arts for young people by donating to one of the most pioneering new theatres in London. Your support will help us both find new ways of supporting artistic excellence, and ensure that everyone has a chance to take part.

Started by a group of 50 volunteers in 2011, The Yard is now recognised as the “most important theatre in East London” (Time Out). Through our ability to identify artists and inspire new work, The Yard has become a leader in the future of theatre.
This could not have been achieved without the ongoing commitment and generous support of local residents, individuals, trusts, foundations, and businesses.
We have a commercial bar, of which all of the profits support our charitable activity. But your support is critical to our success and we need it to raise 25% of our income every year. We’d love for you to be involved – to find out how you can help, please email our Development Officer, Gareth at firstname.lastname@example.org.
