‘Hackney Wick Through Young Eyes’ Report Launch

13 January

During six months in 2017, Hackney Quest engaged over 400 local young people in Hackney Wick through workshops, interviews, focus groups, surveys and events. They asked them for their perspective on their area – what they love, the issues they face, and what they would like to change.

The result is the report, “Hackney Wick Through Young Eyes”, which centres on the ideas and concerns of local young people, in their words. The launch event will be the perfect opportunity to pick up a copy of the report and to hear directly from some of the young people themselves, on everything from gentrification and housing to chicken shops and football pitches.

Young people make up over a third of Hackney Wick – their voices must be heard

As part of this special event there will be a performance of Hackney Wick stories as part of ‘You, Me, The World and Hackney Wick’ and a free community meal. Stick around after the launch to celebrate all things Hackney Wick.

Launch: 5pm
Dinner: 6pm
Performance: 7pm

All free, but reserve your tickets here.
