8 October, 7.30pm

Since 2016, Jane has been collecting personal stories from older adults in a variety of communities.

This performance is her response.

Inspired by her late grandmother who suffered from Alzheimer’s, Void is an intimate solo dance performance about grief, kindness and being present. A show that explores the uncontrollable physical, mental and circumstantial constraints on individuals who rise above the void.

Using Chinese classical dance and Kathak, Jane yearns to find her own choreographic voice and pays homage to the classical forms.

Supported by Amina Khayyam Dance Company, Chisenhale Dance Space, Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (London) through residencies at Kala Sangam, Starwave(HK).
