Live Drafts: Ben Norris

11 September, 9pm

When you dream big, you fall hard.

The Distance explores what elite sport does to young bodies and minds, and why we push ourselves as far as we can. Then further.

The question should never be ‘Do you have what it takes?’, but ‘What’s left once it’s taken?’. When everything is structured – every meal, every metre, and every moment – what happens when the structure disappears?

This new work-in-progress play is about endurance, addiction and ambition, written by award-winning theatre-maker and former GB long-distance runner Ben Norris, performed by Ben Norris and Ella Road.

They’ve been running their whole lives. You’ve got a lot of catching up to do.
