Live Drafts: Trip Hazards

14 September, 7.30pm

As far back as he can remember, Nikhil has been trapped on a dance mat, endlessly trying to win the iconic arcade game Dance Dance Revolution. As far back as she can remember, Alissa has been watching from the sidelines, endlessly waiting for her turn. Trip Hazards’ latest show follows a couple on the verge of a discovery that will change things forever.

Progress is a dance competition, a fight to the death, a parable without an ending.

About Trip Hazards

Trip Hazards is a  collaboration between theatremakers Alissa Anne Jeun Yi and Nikhil Vyas. We are based between London and Kent.

The gesture behind Trip Hazards’ work is to find unexpected ways of exploring British East and South Asian stories. Our energetic, cross-disciplinary shows combine the absurd with the autobiographical. Trip Hazards work at venues such as Camden People’s Theatre, the Marlowe Theatre, the Tristan Bates Theatre and the Arcola Theatre.

Love Songs, our company’s debut show, was developed with the Soho Theatre Writer’s Lab and Camden People’s Theatre. It is performing at the 2018 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, at Underbelly.
