The Reluctant Fundamentalist

08 August — 12 August

Part of National Youth Theatre’s East End Season

Following its world premiere in summer 2016 the first ever stage production of Mohsin Hamid’s Man Booker Prize shortlisted novel and Hollywood blockbuster film returns this August.

National Youth Theatre’s retelling of this epic story of love and loss, examines the ironies of prejudice and representation in post 9/11 New York, tracing Pakistani native Changez’s disenchantment with the West and his journey back to Lahore.

Prasanna Puwanarajah’s production, adapted for stage by Stephanie Street (Sisters), will see members of the original National Youth Theatre cast return.
