Yardlings: Big | Earthlings

11 July, 5pm

“Space looks like a unicorn’s mane has been chopped up and thrown into the sky.”

What happens when the Smallest of People set off to explore the Biggest Thing Ever – the Universe?

Working with theatre-maker and playwright Molly Taylor (What Was Left, Southwark Playhouse; Cacophony, The Yard; See Me Now, Young Vic), The Yard’s company of 4-6 year old Yardlings have created a show that asks the big questions: when the sun goes down and the stars come up, what is our true place in the universe?

Yardlings: Big are The Yard’s littlest theatre-makers. They are almost entirely without filter. They run, stumble, play and ponder life with incomparable freedom and they are beautiful to watch. Working in partnership with Gainsborough Primary School and Mossbourne Riverside Academy, we collide 4-6 year olds with radical artists and explode conventions of what making art with children should be.

Tickets are £5, although free tickets are available for anyone who needs them. We call these Open Concessions.
