Work at The Yard
Want to join us?
Bar Duty Manager
We are looking for a Bar Duty Manager to play a vital role in the delivery of the safe, smooth and efficient running of the bar and venue for The Yard’s music and events programme. Our regular events programme runs on Friday & Saturday nights between 22:00 & 04:00 and the occasional Sunday daytime. The Bar Duty Manager will lead our close-knit and ambitious team of casual staff, demonstrating a culture of excellence in the front of house team and ensuring our customers and collaborators always have the best experience.
The Bar Duty Manager will ensure the smooth-running of back end bar operations, striving to innovate in this area. The successful candidate will have experience of working in a busy bar and feel confident leading by example.
This role is suitable for someone with a commitment to developing a career in the hospitality, clubbing & drinks industries.
Our Front of House volunteers are essential to the smooth running of theatre and events at The Yard.
In becoming a volunteer you’ll get to know the inner workings of the theatre, gain vital experience in a customer facing role, meet members of The Yard team and interact with a network of people interested in the arts.
You’ll receive complimentary tickets to the theatre and a discount at the bar too.
For more information please read the Volunteering Pack.
We’re always on the look out for dedicated bar staff.
If you think that could be you, please email our Bar Manager Felix firstname.lastname@example.org with a CV and a short cover letter explaining why you think you would make a good addition to the team.
Yard Young Artists
We’re currently looking to widen our network of artists making work with young people. We would like to start conversations with artists who share our interest in making theatre that tells stories about contemporary experience in a way that is live, radical, and beautiful. We are particularly interested in hearing from people with an established making practice who have previously created work with non-professionals.
