ABOUT

That misfit mayhem fever dream run by two dyspraxic weirdos jerks into focus across the ice rink.

Miss Ellaneous, the lobster prom queen, played by Tilda Swinton Sliding and slipping And gliding and gripping her rhinestoned penguin shaped ice skating aid (A dyspraxic beacon), Howls as she flies head first into the darkest winter night But then she snaps her claws together in a protest of delight Through gritted teeth, Torvill and Dean, Say “the prophecy was foreseen A night for all those in between, For all those odd and simultaneous Our nemesis in a nightgown You’re skating on THIN ICE Miss Ellaneous” But Miss Ellaneous let’s rip and roars “Take your judgements and your scores No competition is welcome here At the ICE BALL of the weirdo sphere”.

Yes you heard right one and all It's the Weirdo's Winter Ball !! Because this lobster is out of the freezer And she demands that we appease her We will MELT the ice rink And save our favourite witches With the heat of our two hosts (Those notorious psychobitches) And with the fire of radical arts And with You - our warmest winter weirdo hearts Don’t think twice Book our chilly paradise This is Miss Ellaneous But Miss Ellaneous... is on ice.

Dress Code: ICE BALL e.g Tilda Swindon in the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, Swindon City Ice Rink, Dancing on Ice, Penguins, Scandi Noir.

Miss Ellaneous is not quite drag, not quite comedy, not quite theatre or spoken word, etc But you should most probably expect, anti-capitalist tap dancing, background noise (with assorted plastic accessories), emotional polystyrene moments™, party bags - order yours in advance for the interval, a comprehensive economic plan for the year ahead - order yours in advance for the interval, Morticia Addams on the Spoons, various crustaceans on the Theremin, Political Borders (detachable), alcohol (optional), wigs (probable), hay fever (possible but ideally avoidable), a very very vague plotline, inevitable political commentary. Ultimately, Miss Ellaneous aims to create a space for performers and artists struggling to define ‘what it is that they do’ and argues that the pressure to fit into a genre or box to explain and market their work is limiting, alienating and ultimately, a bit boring.
